Isa 23. The burden of Tyre. Howl, you ships of Tarshish; for it is laid waste, so that there is no bayit, no entering in: from the land of Chittim it is revealed to us. 2 Be still, you inhabitants of the coastland; you whom the merchants of Tzidon, that pass over the sea, have replenished. 3 And on great mayim the grain of Sihor, the harvest of the river, is her revenue; and she was a market place of the nations. 4 Be ashamed, O Tzidon: for the sea has spoken, even the strength of the sea, saying, I have not labored, nor brought forth children, neither do I nourish up young men, nor bring up virgins. 

When יהוה commanded Jonah to go preach to Nineveh (500 miles NE of Israel), he headed to Tarshish, which was as far in the other direction as he could go (Jonah 1:1). 

Ezekiel refers not just to Tarshish, but to “the merchants of Tarshish with all its villages” or “Tarshish, with all its young lions” (KJV). 

This phrase is a Hebrew idiom meaning nations that have come out of Tarshish. The young lions of Tarshish are a reference to the colonies that emerged from it. Out of the Merchants of Tarshish came the colonial Empires. 

The most successful of these was which Great nation? What is this nations symbol? That symbol exists to this day and no other empire had more young lions than who?

‘The young lions of Tarshish’ describes the a nation in the last days joining in with her European and Saudi allies to lodge a formal protest against the Russian-Islamic aggressors. 

Looking at the Regathering of Israel in the last days, Isaiah said: “Surely the isles shall wait for Me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring your sons from far . . . And the sons of strangers shall build up your walls, and their kings shall minister to you” (Isaiah 60:9-10). 

It is a fact of history that the Synagogue of Satan movement only became a reality when the Government of the British Isles championed its cause. British kings first threw the weight of empire behind Theodore Herzl’s lonely cry in Europe that the Ashkenaz be given a national home in Palestine. Although Britain’s subsequent mandate over Palestine had many failings she did much to rebuild the country and prepare it for the day when the Ashkenaz would take over, giving  birth to the State in 1948. 

I believe the scenario played out in scripture the present world political situation precisely and I believe that Tarshish with it’s young lions are  strategically capitalizing upon Ukraine to draw the BRICs nations to the negotiating table to negotiate new terms in administering the world wide bankruptcy that has been  evident since pre WW2.  

5 Like the report concerning Mitzrayim, so shall they be sorely pained at the report of Tsor. 6 Pass over to Tarshish; wail, you inhabitants of the coastland. 7 Is this your joyous city, whose antiquity is from days of old? Whose feet shall carry her far off to sojourn. 8 Who has taken this counsel against Tsor, the crowning city, whose merchants are rulers, whose traders are the honorable men of the earth? 9 vuvh tzevaoth has purposed it, to stain the pride of all its tifereth, and to bring into contempt all the honorable of the earth. 10 Pass through your land as a river, O daughter of Tarshish: there is no more strength. 11 He stretched out His hand over the sea, He shook the malchutim: vuvh has given a commandment against Kanaan, to destroy its strongholds. 12 And He said, You shall no more have your simcha, O oppressed virgin, daughter of Tzidon: arise, pass over to Chittim; there also shall you have no rest.

13 See the land of the Chaldeans; this people did not exist, Ashshur founded it for those wild beasts that live in the wilderness: they set up the towers of it, they raised up the palaces of it; so that it has been made a ruin. 14 Howl, you ships of Tarshish: for your stronghold is laid waste.

15 And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tsor shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one melech: after the end of seventy years shall Tsor shir as a harlot. 16 Take a harp, go around the city, you harlot that has been forgotten; make sweet melodies, shir many shirim, that you may be remembered. 17 And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that vuvh will visit Tsor, and she shall turn to her hire, and shall commit fornication with all the malchutim of the olam upon the face of the earth. 18 And her merchandise and her hire shall be kadosh to vuvh: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that live before vuvh, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.

Tracking the ‘Ships of Tarshish’ to a prophetic- island maritime empire and to all that it entails.

Is it possible that Tyre and Tarshish are metaphors for the sin brought by trade and luxury, as literal proxies for Britain.

Eze 38:13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

“Tarshish” is referred to in several places in the bible. The ships of Tarshish are described as belonging to the proud and lofty in Isaiah chapter 2 and the inference is that they’ll be brought low – a great nation turning out to be not so great indeed!

Isaiah 60 refers to a time when the nations shall bring their offerings to the Holy One of Israel. 

Isa 60:9 Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of יהוה  thy elohim, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.

This speaks to the Millennial age; in Isaiah 66 we see those who have come through the Tribulation period who will declare יהוה glory in various nations including Tarshish. 

Psalm 72:10 tells us that Tarshish will be among the nations that bring gifts to the king’s son in this period.

Tarshish is an International, admiralty, maritime and commercial power, a merchant nation that created law to enable it to transact commercially worldwide. 

Jonah tried to escape to Scotland which in his time was a safe harbor for swashbuckler’s and bandits from the Middle East and Europe. This means that at least during the reign of King Salomon there was trading with England (1 Kings 10:22; 22:48; 2 Chronicles 20:37). 

King Salomon even used Tarshish Ships that were three years underway (1 Kings 10:22). These ships could have easily sailed to the Americas which would explain the Phoeneician Native American connection and the name of יהוה being reported as being used amongst the Cherokee Indians by the settlors who pushed West in the early 1800’s. 

The term “ships of Tarshish” occurs seven times in the King Jimmy. Tarshish is a nation that is associated with ships and the sea. Solomon’s ships went to Tarshish and traded in goods. 

2 Ch 9:21 For the king’s ships went to Tarshish with the servants of Huram: every three years once came the ships of Tarshish bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.

Tarshish was very distant as it was the place Jonah wanted to escape to, to be as far as he could from Israel.

Tarshish was a source of precious metals.

Eze 27:12 Tarshish was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of all kind of riches; with silver, iron, tin, and lead, they traded in thy fairs.

Tin was used in the making of bronze.

Eze 38:13 Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

“Young lions” are the the offspring of Tarshish – its colonies.

It’s a maritime power, a merchant power, a colonial power and a source of metals (silver, iron tin and lead).

In Gen 10 the original man is called Tarshish who was a descendant of Japheth – and from Japheth comes Ashkenazi…so this is a maritime, legal, banking power with deep ties to the British and the Ashkenazi – the synagogue of Satan those who say they are descendants of Shem but who are not they are liars as they are descendants of Japheth. 

Even the historian Josephus explains that Japheth’s descendants colonised what is now Europe. Ham’s went south to Africa and Shem’s stayed in the Middle East. So the nation of Tarshish was a Japhetic people, not Semitic or Hamitic. 

Eze 26:2 Son of man, because that Tyrus hath said against Jerusalem, Aha, she is broken [that was] the gates of the people: she is turned unto me: I shall be replenished, [now] she is laid waste:

This gloating by Tyre brought on יהוהs wrath and eventually Tyre was completely destroyed by Alexander the Great.

Isa 23:5 As at the report concerning Egypt, so shall they be sorely pained at the report of Tyre. 6 Pass ye over to Tarshish; howl, ye inhabitants of the isle. 7 [Is] this your joyous [city], whose antiquity [is] of ancient days? her own feet shall carry her afar off to sojourn.

So prophetically the influence of Tyre was to take root again, in Tarshish. Ask yourself what nation has all the attributes of Tarshish?

• Source of tin, silver iron and lead.
• A Japhetic nation.
• A merchant nation.
• A maritime nation.
• A nation with colonies.

Great Britain fits the bill perfectly, specifically the regions of Devon and Cornwall. Interesting to note the Faddan More Psalter. The 1,200 year old religious manuscript that was found in a bog with the Latin words of Psalm 83 open. It had lain undisturbed for 1,200 years and was found just east of Cornwall in Faddan More, Ireland.
