The Babylon about which Isaiah prophesied was the “Neo-Babylonian Empire” which arose as a world power about 66 years after Isaiah’s death, this empire lasted for 70 years.
The burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through; so it comes from the desert, from an awesome land. 2 A grievous vision is declared to me; the treacherous dealer deals treacherously, and the plunderer spoils. Go up, O Eylam: besiege it, O Media, all the sighing of it I will make cease.
The great superpower of the Neo-Babylonian Empire lasted for only 70 years as prophesied by Jeremiah (29:10) and his prophecy was well known and feared by the Babylonians. Toward the end of the seventy year period the Babylonians had ominous signs that the prophecy would be fulfilled. One was the rise of two small kingdoms Media and Persia.
Now; this brings us to Daniel 5 and it’s amazing when you can see the historical and prophetic connections: Belshazzar, a grandson of Nebuchadnezzar waged a great war agains the Medes and Persians and he was under the erroneous impression that he had actually defeated his arch enemies.
His feast recorded in Dan. 5 was his victory celebration and even more special to Belshazzar was that according to his reckoning it coincided withe the expiration of the seventy year limit which Jeremiah had set for the Babylonian Empire.
He miscalculated the seventy years because he was under the misconception that this period began with ascension of Nebuchadnezzar to the throne, but it actually began with that Babylonian exile of the kingdom of Jehoiachin (II Kings 24:14) eleven years before Nebuchadnezzar destroyed the Temple.
Ch 21.V.1. 3 Therefore are my loins filled with pain: pains have taken hold upon me, as the pains of a woman in labor: I was bowed down at the hearing of it; I was dismayed at the seeing of it.
“Contraction pains” derived from the Hebrew word צִיר tsı̂yr – hinge as in Prov. 26:14 As the door turneth upon his hinges, H6735 so doth the slothful upon his bed. A physical or mental pressure.
The Great De-Pegging: I believe the Mystery Babylonian empire is a Vatican, WA DC, City Of London commercial, religious and political alliance that oversees the world wide bankruptcy and emergency war powers act that is operating in most countries worldwide – those tied into the U.S. dollar debt instruments – the IMF countries.
An Assyrian alliance of nations will peg their currency to something other than the U.S. dollar and hoard the worlds natural resources to implode all those countries tied to Mystery Babylon and pegged to U.S. dollar debt instruments – a de-pegging.
v. 4 a 136 year vision and prophecy into the future to the very day, the very hour, the very minute, confirmed by the two witnesses, Jeremiah and Daniel. You can understand why Yeshayahu is the pinnacle of the prophets.
4 My lev panted, fear overwhelmed me: the night of my pleasure has He turned into fear for me. (Belshazzar’s suddenly became aware of a human hand writing on the wall of his palace and he became terrified and began to tremble…Dan. 5:5 describes it as follows…At that moment the fingers of a man’s hand appeared and wrote opposite the lamp-stand on the plaster of the wall of the kings palace. And the king saw the part of the hand that wrote. Dan 5:6 Then the kings face paled, and his mind became terrified, his bones became disjointed and his knees knocked against each other.
Unable to read the writing, which was encrypted, Belshazzar was advised to call upon Daniel who easily recognized the encrypted words as:
He counted; He counted – “He – יהוה counted the years and they have come to an end.” The years of the Babylonian Empire have ended.
He weighed; – “He placed you on a scale of justice, and you were found wanting.” You have been pronounced guilty. Broken/Persian – “Your Empire is broken and given to Persia-Media.”
That evening of debauchery had turned terrifying and wold be the last night of Belshazzar’s life. The chapter in Daniel ends with; On that night, Belshazzar, king of the Chaldea, was killed. This ended the Babylonian Empire after seventy years just as Jeremiah had prophesied.
5 Prepare the shulchan, watch in the watchtower, eat, and drink: arise, you rulers, and anoint the shield. 6 For this has vuvh said to me, Go, set a watchman, and let him declare what he sees.
We are prophets because brethren the term “watchmen” designates a prophet Jer 31:6 For there shall be a day, that the watchmen upon the mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto יהוה our Elohim, Eze 3:17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
At what time of year shall we expect this…July 4th weekend…could it be next year…
Isaiah 16:9 for the shouting for thy summer fruits 18:4 like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest., 22:13 and 28:1 predicts this will happen in early summer, perhaps during a national holiday when the banks are closed like in 1933. Now candlesticks could be fireworks so is it possible it could be a future July 4th weekend?
7 And he saw a mirkavah with a couple of horsemen, a mirkavah of donkeys, and a mirkavah of camels; and he listened attentively, very carefully:
Two kings who would rule the empire immediately following Babylon’s collapse. On was Darius the Mede, who was the king of Median/Persian alliance, he ruled only one year (a donkey).
He was followed by the real power in the alliance, the world-conquering Koresh of Persia. And it was Koresh who issued the proclamation to this world empire encouraging the Jews to return to the Promised Land and rebuild the Temple (Ezra. 1).
8 And he cried, A lion: my master, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the daytime, and I am set in my post every night: 9 And, see, here comes a mirkavah of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Bavel is fallen, it is fallen; and all the graven images of her elohim He has broken to the ground. 10 O my threshing, and the grain of my floor: that which I have heard from vuvh tzevaoth, the Elohim of Yisrael, have I declared to you.
Rev. 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Isa 52:11 Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of יהוה. Isa
52:12 For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for יהוה will go before you; and the Elohim of Israel will be your reward.
By repenting and coming back then they would know for themselves that the “morning-the millennial age is drawing near but that יהוה day of judgment hasn’t yet served its purpose.
11 The burden 2 of Dumah. He calls to me out of Seir, Watchman, how much of the night? Watchman, how much of the night? 12 The watchman said, morning came and also the night: if you will inquire, inquire and come again.
Seeing no end to the exile the call goes out to the “night watchman;” as if to say; “what of our long dark night of exile?” It’s like an angel/malach/messenger who has “guard duty” – “the watchmen of the ages.”
Teshuvah:
If we truly want the day to dawn on our exile; then all we really have to do is ask for it.
How do we ask for it?
“Return; come oh Holy one of Israel”, by a mass teshuvah movement we’ll be in effect asking for the exile to be over and for the Greater Exodus.
Lev 26 – the seventy year exile – only a small fraction of the Jewish people returned.
Deut 28 – the long exile – a mass teshuvah movement of all 12 tribes – the Greater Exodus.
13 The burden upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall you lodge, O you traveling companies of Dedanites. 14 The inhabitants of the land of Tema brought mayim to him that was thirsty, they met the fugitive with lechem. 15 For they fled from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the weight of the war.
The descendants of Ishmael will wage three wars of destruction in the end of days, one at sea, as it says; “because of the bent bow”, one on land, as it say; “because of drawn sword,” and one in a large city, which will be heavier than the other two, as it says; “and because of the weight of the war.”
16 For this has vuvh said to me, Within a year, according to the year of a hired worker, all the men of Kedar shall come to an end: 17 And the residue of the number of archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, shall be diminished: for vuvh Elohim of Yisrael has spoken it.
