Devarim/Words 1:1 – 3:22

Et Mishna Ha Torah – a copy/repetition of Torah/Mishna Torah-2nd Torah. 

Moshe’s farewell speech to a new generation (Moshe, Calev and Yahoshua) under Yahoshua’s leadership.

Book of ethics – ultimate book of ethical guidance throughout generations.

Devarim = Torah’s “mouth,” a summarizing of all that has happened before in “the main body.” This it where we’re at as a people – Devarim – YHWH wants to summarize in our bodies all that’s happened before in the main body.

The Devar/Devarim/in the beginning was THE Word: את   

Devarim/Devar/Words/THE WORD IS what heals, restores and holds everything together – Colossians 1:17 By Him (THE WORD – YAHUSHA) all things are held together. THINK ON THIS…it’s protein that holds us together  – interesting that Laminin, a protein structure that holds us together is the shape of a man being nailed to tree (a cross is you will)  YAHUSHA IS THE LAMININ – the Kingdom Come!

Mat 13:19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. 

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohim, and the Word was Elohim.

Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Devarim>Devar-The Word. 

Examples of the Word revealed: 

• “Lo in the volume of the scroll it is written of me.”
• “ And He reasoned in the scriptures showing himself beginning at Moses and the prophets.” 
• “For if you don’t believe Moses words, then how will you believe my words, for Moses wrote about me” 
• “I and the abba are one.” 
• “Paul spoke to them in the Hebrew language.” 

Joh 5:38 And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.

2 Pet 3:5 by the Word of Eloah the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

Rev 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Rev 22:13 Transliteration 

Isaiah 41:4 Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am he.

Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the את the beginning and the ending, saith יהוה, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

The Jewish rabbis say the את represents perfection and completion.

Abraham saw my day and rejoiced – In Beresheeth 15 When Abraham was put to sleep at the flaying of the pieces, the את appears 12 times in this text. 

Yahusha IS the burning lamp and smoking furnace. The one who bathed to take the death penalty position if the covenant cut was broken. 

The twelve instances of the את represent the covenant for the 12 tribes. The את would pay the price for either Abraham or Abraham’s seed not fulfilling covenant. The את came for the lost sheep of Israel.

Shemot 12:27 You shall say, It is the sacrifice of YHWH’s  passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote Aleph Tav- the Egyptians, Aleph Tav- and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.

Dev 6:5 and you shall love (את) YHWH your elohim.

Dev 11:26 “I set before you blessing (aleph tav) or a curse (curse omits the aleph tav).

Dev 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like you , and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak  את unto them all that I shall command him.

V.20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, (את) which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other elohim, even that prophet shall die.

ISAIAH 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the YHWH hath laid on him the (את) iniquity of us all. (Heb: laid/made the iniquity of us all to meet on him)

ZECHARIAH 11:12 And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price (את) thirty pieces of silver. (If ye…Heb. If it be good in your eyes)

ZECHARIAH 13:7 Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the YHWH of hosts: smite the shepherd, (את) and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.

Zechariah 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me (את) whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn

Ibn Ezra (12th c.) All the heathen shall look to me to see what I shall do to those who pierced Messiah, the son of Joseph. — Cited in M’Caul, p. 158.

How the Kohen Ha Kadol communicated with YHWH: U’RIM = LIGHT א is the first letter of the word Urim

THUM’MIM = PERFECTION ת is the first letter of the word.

Num 26:10 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korah, when that company died, what time the fire א ת devoured two hundred and fifty men: and they became a sign.

Emet – aleph mem tet = truth. Remove the aleph – met = death. “the wages of sin are death” Rom 6:23.

Isaiah 2:2  for out of Tzion shall go forth the Torah, and the word of vuvh from Yahrushalayim. And He shall be a shofet between the nations, 9 and shall rebuke many peoples: and they shall beat their swords into את (plowshares), and their spears into pruning hooks nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more O Beit Yaakov come, and let us have our halacha in the Light of vuvh.

Yahusha taught the shamesh/servant light.“I am the light of the Olam” “ you are children of light” “I am the vine and you are the branches apart from me you are nothing and if you are broken off there is no light”

Devarim is a series of four speeches delivered by Moshe to Israel a few weeks before his death. 

YHWH Elohim: Dev 1:1 – 3:3 – 23 times!

YHWH Elohim. YHWH your Elohim – past-present-future!

YHWH Eloheyka – YHWH your Elohim – 224 times in Torah: 

Beresheeth – once. 

Shemot – eight times. 

Vayikra – none. 

Bamidbar – none. 

The reason why Sefer Devarim is so important – YHWH is going to reveal Himself to you personally, prophetically and powerfully –  a whopping 215 times.

Of the 23 times YHWH Elohim appears in Deut 1:1 – 3:3: 

• 8 times – YHWH your Elohim.
• 5 times – YHWH thy Elohim.
• 10 times YHWH our Elohim.

To a new generation who has witnessed “the rock” grasped the Torah, 

YHWH is  willing to reveal Himself to them personally, prophetically and powerfully as the source of all blessings, covering and victory – TO YOU:

V.6.  יהוה our Elohim spake unto us 

V.10. יהוה your Elohim hath multiplied you, 

V.19. יהוה our Elohim commanded us;

V.25. It is a good land which יהוה our Elohim doth give us.

V.30. יהוה your Elohim which goeth before you, he shall fight for you,

V.31. thou hast seen how that יהוה thy Elohim bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, 

YHWH our King, deliverer, savior and shield.

Isaiah 45:21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I יהוה? and there is no El else beside me; a just/tzadik El and a Saviour/Moshiach; there is none beside me…

…El the righteous and His Saviour “El tzadik U Moshiach” The prefix “u” means and – Isaiah is describing the two main faces of יהוה – Creator and Saviour!
